Accountability
Choose a challenge type
Compare all six challenge types, choose one compatible intensifier, and explore fitness, tutoring and studio examples.
Choose the format that fits your group
Use Virtual Bingo Card for a variety of tasks, Group Goal for a shared target, Classic for personal goals, Chase the Champ for a competition decided by your chosen winner rule, Points Based for actions with different point values, or Chaos Mode for private randomized Missions. Owners create challenges from Accountability → Challenges → New Challenge. Clients participate in the challenges their instructor enrolls them in.
Virtual Bingo Card
Give every challenger a card of instructor-written tasks. Completed squares are marked on that person’s card, so each challenger keeps their own progress. Choose a board from 3 × 3 through 7 × 7, describe each square, and choose instructor-controlled or self-reported completion.
Odd-sized boards can include an automatically completed free center square; even-sized boards do not have a single center square. Optional rankings compare completed squares. Bingo uses its card rather than a separate individual milestone tracker. A banner can carry your challenge artwork.
- Fitness instructor: fill squares with a workout, a mobility routine and a recovery habit.
- Tutor: include reading, a practice worksheet and explaining a solved problem.
- Dance or music studio: include class attendance, home practice and a technique demonstration.
Group Goal Challenge
Everyone contributes toward one shared target rather than receiving separate personal targets. For example, a group goal of 100 classes means 100 classes across all enrolled challengers, not 100 classes per person.
Choose the amount and System tracking measurement. Recorded classes, sessions, selected product purchases, referrals or dollars spent contribute within the challenge dates. Use Classic or instructor-confirmed Missions for offline goals rather than treating self-reports as recorded system activity.
- Fitness instructor: the group completes 100 recorded classes together.
- Tutor: students contribute toward 50 tutoring sessions across the group.
- Studio: dancers collectively attend 120 classes during the challenge.
Classic Challenge
Each challenger works toward an individual goal that you set when enrolling them. Different people can have different goals in the same challenge, such as 8 classes for one client and 12 for another.
Choose numeric progress or completion tracking, and use instructor-controlled, self-reported or System tracking where available. Optional rankings compare progress toward individual goals. If you build individual milestone trackers, choose Punch Card or Thermometer once for the challenge; each challenger’s tracker uses their own target and progress.
- Fitness instructor: set eight classes for a beginner and twelve for an experienced client.
- Tutor: set individual session or practice targets appropriate to each student.
- Studio: give each musician a personal rehearsal target, recording offline practice through instructor-led progress.
Chase the Champ
Challengers compete on current progress without an overall or individual target. Choose a System tracking source and set start and end dates. The visible leaderboard shows current standings, but it does not reveal the secret winner calculation.
Choose Most days in first place, Best average rank, or First place at the end. The first two rules use daily snapshots, not the number of hours someone held the lead. First place at the end crowns the challenger with the highest recorded progress when the challenge completes, including when you end it early; tied leaders share the win, and zero progress does not earn a crown. A day tied for first place counts for everyone tied. The winner is revealed when the challenge ends. You can configure leader-change notifications and write the message during setup.
- Fitness instructor: compare recorded attendance and crown the client with the best average daily rank.
- Tutor: compare completed tutoring sessions and reward the most days in first place.
- Studio: compare class attendance and crown whoever is first when the challenge ends.
Points Based Challenge
Assign point values to qualifying actions, and use the leaderboard to compare total points. You can reward classes taken, sessions held, selected product purchases, referrals submitted, dollars spent, class registration at least 24 hours in advance, or attendance at a selected class or session.
Set the action rules and point values before starting. Recorded qualifying actions drive scoring; a scheduled session is not the same as an attended session, and an unpaid invoice is not money spent. This format works when you want different actions to contribute different amounts.
- Fitness instructor: award different points for attended classes and early registration.
- Tutor: score attended sessions and selected learning-material purchases separately.
- Studio: award points for classes, selected product purchases and qualifying referrals.
Optional Hot Potato
Hot Potato is an optional intensifier for Classic, Chase the Champ or Points Based, not a separate challenge type. Chase the Champ permits deductions only, not successful-action bonuses. Choose the required action, time limit and points deducted if the timer expires. The first holder can be selected by the instructor or chosen randomly.
The holder must complete the required action before passing the potato, then chooses the next eligible challenger. The last two holders cannot be selected as the next recipient. The holder’s client portal shows the countdown. You can use a fixed time limit or a randomized range and configure the new-holder notification.
Chaos Mode
Chaos Mode is a separate challenge type built around Missions rather than one shared schedule. Write the Mission pool, choose the gaps between reveals, completion windows, rewards and deductions, and whether the winner is based on points or completed Missions.
Each challenger receives an independently randomized Mission order. Upcoming Missions stay private until revealed, so participants cannot copy another challenger’s future schedule. The instructor witnesses completion and confirms it in person. Choose completed Missions to crown the first challenger to reach Number of Missions to Win, or points to crown the highest scorer when the challenge ends. Points ties go to the challenger who reached their final score earliest. Chaos has no additional intensifiers.
- Fitness instructor: rotate a squat demonstration, a mobility drill and an in-person technique check.
- Tutor: rotate a worked problem, a spoken explanation and a short reading discussion, with instructor confirmation.
- Studio: rotate a scale demonstration, a rehearsal task and a technique performance witnessed by the instructor.
One intensifier, chosen after saving
An intensifier adds a timing or surprise mechanic without replacing the challenge format. Choose None or one supported option on the second setup screen; each choice opens its own settings. Virtual Bingo and Chaos support none. Classic and Points Based support Hot Potato, Wild Card or Group Blitz. Group Goal supports Wild Card or Group Blitz. Chase the Champ supports deduction-only Hot Potato.
Wild Card gives each challenger a configured number of randomized actions throughout the challenge. Group Blitz assigns a shared Mission at the same time and location, with instructor-controlled visibility. The dedicated intensifier guide explains timing, scoring and instructor-led custom actions.
